Big News! – I got Arts Council funding to Develop My Creative Practice (DYCP)

I am very excited to announce that I have been awarded an Arts Council England Developing your Creative Practice Grant for 2024-2025. This grant will allow me a period focused on developing the alcohol ink paintings I have started to produce and researching audiences and galleries for this work.

It's an exciting time of research and development within my practice, working with the alcohol inks and taking risks. It is a moment of pushing myself in my professional development to create new work, increasing the scale of the paintings, seeking exhibition opportunities and and build networks for future development and sharing this new body of work in the UK and overseas.

This development period will provide me with an infrastructure and sustainable ways of working going forward. It is also a time of research to connect with other artists with more commercial experience, to learn from them and get advice about gallery representation and future income streams for this work.

Receiving this grant has given me a real boost in confidence as an artist and the next chapter of my artistic career. Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses!
